Valencia CF fans, who have seen the club decline under the ownership dominated by Peter Lim since October 2014, found an unexpected ally in singer Dani Martín. During his concert at the Roig Arena, the Madrid-born artist, known for his passion for Atlético de Madrid, openly stated his desire to see a change in the ownership of the Valencian club.
“"Let's see if that Chinese guy leaves already."
This declaration, made between songs and in dialogue with the audience, ignited the fervor of the Valencianistas filling the venue. Martín continued his criticisms of the current management, recalling the owner's scarce presence at the team's matches.
“"He came once to see the team's match, right? He came one day. Please, let him leave! I love Valencia... great friends at Valencia. Great club!"
The singer's words were accompanied by applause and the unanimous cry from the fans: «Peter, get out now!», the classic chant from Mestalla's 19th minute. Martín concluded his intervention on the topic with an «Amunt Valencia!», demonstrating his affection for the club and its supporters.
