The Valencia Provincial Council has approved the distribution of 1.3 million euros to fund 235 local initiatives focused on the fight against gender-based violence and the promotion of equality.

The program, coordinated by the Equality department of the provincial institution, will benefit 224 municipalities, 10 associations, and the Pactem Nord Consortium. These grants aim to strengthen active policies in the municipalities belonging to the provincial network.
Selected actions include training programs for security forces in victim support, strategies against sexual exploitation and trafficking, and the updating of local equality plans. Educational projects aimed at primary school students to dismantle gender stereotypes in fields such as science have also been approved.
The distribution of funds was based on the proposals submitted, with amounts ranging from 786 euros to over 16,000 euros per project. By region, Vall d'Albaida stands out for the number of participants, while Ribera Alta holds the largest overall economic allocation.
