The Ministry of Culture will allocate 50,000 euros to the Valencian Community to foster music entrepreneurship and business creation through the Mus·Incuba program, developed by Asvem.

The initiative, named Mus·Incuba-Music Business Incubator, will be carried out by the Valencian Association of Music Companies (Asvem). Its objective is to provide comprehensive support to musicians, professionals, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and micro-enterprises seeking to transform a creative idea into a viable business model or to consolidate an existing music activity.
The project was selected in the annual call for grants to non-profit entities for cultural action and promotion 2026 by the Ministry of Culture, through the Coordination Center for Cultural Industries. The selection occurred in an environment of "high national competition," as only 79 out of 687 evaluated projects across Spain were beneficiaries, validating "the solidity, quality, and strategic interest of the Valencian proposal," as stated by Asvem.
The selection of Mus·Incuba addresses the need to "equip the music sector in our community with stable tools for business guidance, applied training, and professional mentoring." Each year, a "high" number of musicians and graduates from conservatories enter an "atomized" labor market, characterized by self-employment and micro-enterprises lacking defined corporate structures.
Despite existing talent and creativity, many proposals "face barriers in defining their business model, calculating economic viability, optimizing management processes, or turning artistic activity into a stable source of income." To address this, Mus·Incuba is designed as a structured methodological itinerary including diagnosis, training, mentoring, and personalized support.
Asvem will conduct a diagnostic phase for music professionals and companies, while Econcult, a research unit in Cultural Economics and Tourism, will produce a study on profiles and career paths in the music industry. The incubator is intended for both emerging projects and active music professionals and companies.
For the sectoral employers' association, this financial allocation represents a "milestone" in the recognition of their work by the Central Government, emphasizing music not just as a cultural manifestation but as "an economic engine capable of generating wealth, innovation, and skilled employment."

"Talent alone does not guarantee the long-term viability of a project, making it essential to equip it with management, strategy, and market vision tools."

The launch of this large-scale program follows a previous pilot experience by Asvem since 2024, which confirmed a high demand for specialized advice. As a digital infrastructure, the program will utilize Setmusic, a digital platform developed by Asvem and initially funded by the Conselleria d'Innovació of the Generalitat.
