This contract, managed by Adif Alta Velocidad (AV), is crucial for the technical operation scheme of the València Joaquín Sorolla terminal and València's railway arterial network. It includes the modernization of signaling, telecommunications, energy, and video surveillance installations.
The planned works will adapt the control, command, and signaling installations to the provisional phases of the access channel construction, as well as to its definitive configuration. The access channel works, which began on February 9, 2023, involve an investment of 443 million euros and have an execution period of 51 months.
The new contract, worth almost 17 million, covers the installation of new elements associated with traffic regulation systems. It adapts the hardware and software of various interlockings located around the València Nord, Joaquín Sorolla, Font de Sant Lluís, Sant Isidre, and Alfafar stations to the new configuration.
Among the elements and devices included in the action are the deployment of train protection systems, lateral signaling with LED technology spotlights, connections for the distribution of signaling cables, track devices, fixed information panels and screens, and electro-hydraulic actuators. This action may be co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) of the European Union.
