Company Creation in Comunitat Valenciana Grows 38.56% in First Quarter

The 5,221 new companies established in the Comunitat Valenciana surpass previous year's figures, with a positive migratory balance of 15 companies.

The Comunitat Valenciana has registered a significant 38.56% increase in the creation of new companies during the first quarter of 2026, compared to the same period in 2025, totaling 5,221 new businesses.

This growth is significantly distributed across the three provinces: Alicante with 2,123, Castellón with 525, and Valencia with 2,573. These figures contrast with the 9% decrease recorded in the first quarter of last year compared to 2024, when 3,768 companies were established.
Nationally, 39,259 operations were recorded from January to March, a 28.3% increase over the same period in 2025, marking the highest growth in recent quarters, according to the College of Registrars. The Comunitat Valenciana ranks as the fourth region creating the most companies, with growth ten points above the national average.
Regarding company movement, 116 left the Comunitat Valenciana for other regions, while 131 relocated here, resulting in a positive balance of +15. This is the fourth best balance in Spain, behind Madrid (+55), Basque Country (+20), and Balearic Islands (+17). The Comunitat Valenciana is the fourth autonomous community from which the most companies left and the fourth that received the most.
Capital increases also rose, with 957 operations in the Valencian region, up 1.9%. However, company dissolutions grew by 9.7% in the Comunitat Valenciana, reaching 1,183, placing it as the seventh autonomous community with the highest increase in this regard. Bankruptcy proceedings also rebounded, with 173 Valencian companies affected, an increase of 19.31%.
