This event, taking place between Wednesday and Thursday, has become a key date in the university community. Its main objective is to foster students' research skills and direct science towards finding solutions that contribute to improving people's lives and their environment.
This year, the congress has reached historic figures, with 511 students enrolled from the Castellón, Elche, and Valencia campuses of CEU UCH, representing a 10% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, 310 papers have been presented, a 15% increase. The event is supported by 17 sponsors linked to the various professional fields represented at the congress.
The CIE is distinguished by its transversal nature, bringing together students from all degrees across the three CEU UCH campuses. It offers students a unique opportunity to develop their research capabilities through a practical experience typical of the academic environment. Over two days, participants replace regular classes and practicals with public presentations of their work, both orally and as posters, which are evaluated by a scientific committee.
This annual event has become an essential training experience, where both students and professors are actively involved in the preparation and supervision of research papers, thus complementing their skills in different areas of their academic training. The program is completed with four workshops under the “Coffee with Science” format, which will address topics such as mycoplasmas as pathogens, the use of virtual reality in the treatment of chronic low back pain, self-care, and oral health. Complementary activities open to attendees are also organized, such as a showcooking organized by CEU-GASMA.
The congress will culminate with the awards ceremony for the best communications, recognizing the excellence and research effort of the participating students.
“"The dedication of professors to accompany students in their first steps in research is fundamental, as it involves generating knowledge and knowing how to transmit it by putting it at the service of others."
