The Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània in Valencia will conclude the Letra y compás exhibition on May 18th with a unique concert held within the gallery space.

The event, coinciding with International Museum Day, will take place at 7:00 PM. During the performance, two young Valencian musicians will provide a musical backdrop to the photographs by Chema Madoz, an artist honored with the National Photography Award and the Gold Medal of Merit in the Fine Arts.
The exhibition has allowed the Valencian public to discover a personal side of the artist, where everyday objects are transformed into images with double meanings. Over the last three months, the center has invited visitors to explore the musical and literary references hidden behind each piece.
The concert repertoire will feature works by composers such as Domenico Scarlatti, Erik Satie, Sibelius, Piazzolla, Joaquín Turina, Arvo Pärt, and Jules Massenet. These pieces were selected to engage with the visual simplicity and nostalgia that define the photographer's work.
