“"In April 2024, while the Consortium was being liquidated, three public bodies simultaneously launched seven calls for management positions with very restricted requirements. It is no coincidence: the system was designed so that only certain people could access them."

The mayor of València, María José Catalá, has defended the transparency of the hiring process for a former employee of the Consorcio Valencia 2007 at the municipal foundation Visit Valencia, which is currently under investigation by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
Catalá stated that the administrative assistant joined the foundation through a "totally transparent" competitive examination process and denied any irregularities in the procedure. The PP leader criticized Compromís, who filed the complaint, and announced that she would take to the Prosecutor's Office the motions presented by Compromís and the PSPV requesting the relocation of workers, as there was a municipal report against the subrogation.
For its part, the Compromís coalition will request the creation of an investigation commission on the relocation of workers in public bodies during the plenary session of the València City Council. This request comes after the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office opened criminal investigation proceedings following the group's complaint, in which they accuse Mayor María José Catalá, the president of the Port Authority of València, Mar Chao, and councilors Rocío Gil and Paula Llobet of prevarication.
The spokesperson for Compromís, Papi Robles, has denounced that the PP uses public bodies as an "employment agency." The investigation proposed by Compromís also includes the former spokesperson for Vox, Juan Manuel Badenas, investigated for the management of València Activa, and his colleague Cecilia Herrero, investigated for hate crimes.
