The incident occurred around 11:20 AM on the stretch between kilometer points 349.7 and 351.7, in the increasing direction towards Valencia. The incident forced lane closures, affecting traffic on one of the capital's busiest access routes.

The fire broke out on the bridge crossing the Turia River, further complicating the situation. The accident led to the vehicle catching fire, generating a large plume of smoke visible from various points along the highway.

The Xirivella area was one of the most affected, with numerous vehicles held up while emergency services intervened on site. Authorities recommended driving with caution on this section, which is one of the main access points to the Valencian capital from the interior.
