The National Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in central Valencia as the alleged perpetrator of several theft and fraud offenses, after being caught stealing in a well-known commercial establishment.

The arrest occurred after the store's security personnel alerted officers upon detecting the suspect performing maneuvers to conceal items and manipulate labels, with the aim of stealing products without paying for them.
According to investigations, the young man forced and removed security systems from products before heading towards the exit, where he was intercepted after passing the security arches without paying. Additionally, store personnel detected that the same individual had previously made purchases using bank cards belonging to other people.
During the search, officers found among his belongings two mobile phones, four bank cards in the name of different people, and over 370 euros in coins from various countries. Thanks to police efforts, these items were able to be returned to their rightful owners.
Police inquiries linked the detainee to other criminal acts, including thefts from delivery drivers, clarifying at least six offenses. Furthermore, officers confirmed that there were two active national judicial claims against him. The detainee, who has a police record, has been brought before the judicial authorities as the alleged perpetrator of theft and fraud offenses.
