The tribute concert to the legendary Arena Auditorium, a musical landmark in València during the 80s and 90s, is changing its initial venue from the Plaza de Toros to the Roig Arena and will take place on June 13.

The Auditorio Roig Arena will host the tribute to the historic Arena Auditorium on June 13. This venue was fundamental in València's recent musical history, positioning the city within the national and international live music circuit during the 80s and 90s, as reported by the cultural center in a statement. The concert, announced last February, was initially planned for the Plaza de Toros de València.
This tribute seeks to revive the spirit of the venue and bring it to the present «with a program that connects with the musical identity that defined that era,» according to the same sources. The lineup will be headlined by Immaculate Fools and will feature the reunion of two key groups from the Valencian scene: Comité Cisne and Glamour.
The festive character that always distinguished the venue will be represented by Los Inhumanos, who will offer their special concert 30 Hombres Solos. Meanwhile, Neon Collective will provide a contemporary interpretation of that sonic legacy. The day will conclude with sets from DJs José Coll and Luis Bonias.
Between 1983 and 1999, the Arena Auditorium —and its adjacent Garage venue, located on the upper floor— turned València into a mandatory stop for major national and international pop and rock tours. Practically no relevant artist from the music scenes of the time failed to perform on its stage.
In the annual polls of specialized music magazines, Arena Auditorium frequently appeared among the public's favorite venues. It hosted memorable presentations and visits from artists who were on the verge of becoming legends. Names like Ramones, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, and The Pretenders, among many others, graced its stage. Nationally, Arena Auditorium was the scene of historical performances by Radio Futura —who recorded their famous live album there—, Loquillo y los Trogloditas, Seguridad Social, and Alaska y Dinarama.
The last concert held at the Arena Auditorium was by Maná on November 11, 1999, closing an unrepeatable era that still lives on in the collective memory of the city. Tickets for the tribute to the Valencian venue Arena Auditorium are now on sale online.
