The proceedings, confirmed by Europa Press and reported by The Objective, also include councilors Rocío Gil and Paula Llobet, along with four public employees. A Prosecutor's Office decree from March 11 has already appointed an investigating prosecutor for the case.
The investigation stems from a complaint filed by the municipal group Compromís of València. This complaint focuses on the creation of job positions in various municipal entities for personnel from the Consorcio Valencia 2007, a now-liquidated entity that managed La Marina and was composed of the Government, the Generalitat, and the City Council.
According to information gathered by The Objective, during the spring of 2024, while the Consorcio was in the process of liquidation, several selection processes were launched in the city council, municipal foundations, and the Port. These processes allegedly served for the redeployment of certain individuals.
The Compromís complaint also included a report from the General Intervention Board of the State Administration (IGAE) that questioned the selection processes carried out at the Port of València.
