These initiatives, targeting students in 2nd and 3rd year of ESO (secondary education), seek to empower young people with autonomy and tools to engage with their environment. The projects were developed thanks to a grant from the Conselleria d'Educació, Cultura i Esport de la Generalitat Valenciana, allocated for extracurricular activities for individuals aged 3 to 18.
Throughout the programs, fundamental aspects such as emotional education, teamwork, and the importance of volunteering and associativism have been addressed. This methodology promotes a practical vision of active and supportive citizenship among participants.
The 'Activa la teua ciutat' program culminates in a real participation experience, based on the students' interests. This approach fosters awareness and involvement in finding collective solutions to problems and inequalities identified by the young people themselves.
With these actions, the Alfafar City Council reinforces its commitment to youth, promoting spaces for participation that contribute to the personal and social development of the municipality's young population.
