The Mayor of Alboraya, Miguel Chavarría, has positively assessed these results, highlighting that the implemented measures and the commitment to equipping the Local Police with more resources are proving effective. In the technological sphere, the council has deployed state-of-the-art video surveillance systems and drones for controlling access to the municipal area, used at strategic points like the connection with Valencia and the huerta (orchard) zones. Night surveillance capabilities have also been enhanced with new lighting systems and thermal cameras, and the police vehicle fleet has been expanded.
Patrol deployment has been reorganized to concentrate resources in areas historically experiencing higher incident rates, such as the La Patacona beach neighborhood and the Port Saplaya urbanization. Surveillance has also been intensified in the Vinival area and at the entrances to the huerta. Coordination with the Civil Guard, through periodic local security meetings, has been crucial for optimizing resources and combating burglaries.
