The municipality of El Toro, in Alto Palancia, celebrated this Thursday the opening of a new bakery, a service it had lacked for over 20 years, thanks to a resident's entrepreneurship and municipal support.

The initiative was spearheaded by a resident from Valencia, who decided to start a new life in El Toro with her family. The local council provided advice for applying for Leader Funds, thus facilitating the launch of the business.

"It has been a celebration. It is another example of all the good things this town, which we love so much, has to offer."

The new bakery not only offers bread and pastries but also contributes to the social revitalization of the town, bringing back the custom of meeting and chatting over coffee. This project is part of a spirit of improvement that has allowed El Toro to reopen its school, restore its castle, and reverse the trend of depopulation, exceeding 300 inhabitants this summer.

"Entrepreneurship is possible in our interior. And dreams come true. The resident had a project, and at the town hall, we advised her to get the Leader Funds. And we succeeded. Both her and us, because the whole town is celebrating the opening of this new business."

The municipal leadership has emphasized that collaboration and enthusiasm are key to achieving objectives in the municipality. With this opening, El Toro regains an essential service and strengthens its social and economic fabric.
