The Cinema a l'Escola campaign, organized by the Burjassot City Council through the department of Valencian Promotion and AVIVA, in collaboration with Escola Valenciana, brought together 1,878 students from Infant and Primary Education. The sessions took place at the Cultural Center Tívoli, establishing itself as a cultural and educational meeting point for the municipality's youth.
The screenings were held over six days, specifically on March 23, 24, 25, 26, and 30, and April 1. Students enjoyed films such as Minions, Super Mario Galaxy, and Vaiana 2, adapted to the different age groups of the participants. This proposal aims to bring cinema closer to school audiences while reinforcing the use and normalization of Valencian in the audiovisual field.
The Councilor for Valencian Promotion, Estefanía Ballesteros, and the Councilor for Education, Manuela Carrero, attended the inaugural day, highlighting the importance of this initiative. The Cinema a l'Escola cycle is consolidating as a prominent event in the local educational calendar, combining culture, leisure, and language for hundreds of schoolchildren.
