This budgetary modification, within the framework of the Moderniza Villena Plan, will allow for various improvements in infrastructure and public services. One of the most significant actions is the creation of two new free parking zones, to which 1.25 million euros will be allocated.
The municipal corporation plans to acquire two plots of land located on Independencia and Isaac Albéniz streets. The objective is to enable over a hundred parking spaces to strengthen the offering in commercial and residential areas of the town.

The municipal calendar foresees completing the purchase of the land throughout 2026, with the expectation that the new parking lots could be operational by early 2027. Additionally, the investment package includes 50,000 euros for the renovation of a wastewater pumping station and 193,000 euros for urgent intervention on Maestro Guillén street, affected by humidity problems.
Also, 700,000 euros will be allocated to improve Paseo Ruperto Chapí, where the play area will be renovated with new adapted facilities. The plan also includes 101,000 euros for the first phase of the municipal cemetery expansion and 250,000 euros for the implementation of a traffic video surveillance system in the urban area, along with additional funds for improving the Local Police fleet and other minor urban actions.
In parallel, the governing team has announced a future incorporation of surpluses destined for the areas of La Morenica and La Constancia. In the first case, the goal is to start works in the last quarter of 2026, while for La Constancia, work is underway to reformulate the project with the forecast of tendering it in 2027 and starting works that same year.
