The provincial institution reaffirms its commitment to the interior of Castellón, aiming to ensure that all citizens, regardless of their place of residence, have access to essential services and equitable opportunities.
The Deputy for Firefighters, David Vicente, highlighted that this new infrastructure, now operational, is part of the objective to equip the province with the best resources to protect residents and ensure a rapid response to any emergency. "We continue to advance towards a more prepared and safer province," he stated.
This helisuperficie, integrated into the Plan Diputació Respon, ensures swift intervention by emergency teams in the municipality and the region, for both fires and urgent medical evacuations or transports. The goal is to provide the most efficient response to the people of Castellón.
As explained by the responsible deputy, these facilities are strategic for improving response in mountain villages and hard-to-reach areas, reducing healthcare response times and the transfer time for firefighters in forest fires.
David Vicente emphasized that each helisuperficie built improves the quality of life and safety of residents, offering peace of mind and convenience. The Council is making a significant investment to construct new helisuperficies and ensure adequate care.
Since the beginning of the legislative term, the Provincial Council of Castellón has constructed six helisuperficies in Zorita, Barracas, la Jana, Torás, la Torre d’en Besora, and now Gaibiel.
"We work so that living in the interior is synonymous with future, well-being, and quality," concluded David Vicente, highlighting the infrastructure that saves lives and brings security to all municipalities.
