The town of El Toro, located in the Alto Palancia region, is on the verge of reaching 300 inhabitants, a milestone not achieved in nearly two decades, representing a success in the fight against depopulation in inland Castellón.

This demographic growth is the result of significant effort and enthusiasm from the municipal leadership, which has implemented measures to attract and retain families in the municipality. The goal of exceeding 300 residents would be a historic achievement for the town.
In 2007, El Toro recorded its highest census in the last two decades with 292 inhabitants. After a progressive decline that reached 239 in 2021, the population has grown again, approaching the 300 mark once more.

"Behind these census figures lies a lot of effort. And above all, a lot of enthusiasm and desire to see your town grow every day. It is achieved with resources that encourage families to settle in our locality."

The town offers a school, an auxiliary medical clinic, sports facilities, and economic activity, primarily agricultural. These services and opportunities contribute to making El Toro an attractive destination throughout the year.
A clear indicator of this growth is the increase in school enrollment. While there were 9 students in the 2024-2025 academic year, this number has now doubled, reaching 24 students when including secondary school pupils. This vitality in the streets is the main motivation to continue working for the town's future.
