Over 1,500 musicians from 29 musical societies participated in the Band Gatherings organized by the Diputación de Castellón in Sot de Ferrer and Eslida, strengthening cultural ties between municipalities.

The Provincial Council of Castellón has promoted an intense musical weekend with the celebration of the XXVII Alt Palància Band Gathering in Sot de Ferrer and the XXXI Plana Baixa Band Gathering in Eslida. These events brought together a total of 29 musical societies and over 1,500 musicians, highlighting the value of music as art and an element of social cohesion in the province.

"Every note, every measure, and every performance has been a gift for all of us, and we are proud of all the musicians. Each band has put hours and hours of effort, dedication, and passion on stage."

the Culture deputy
The Culture deputy emphasized that these regional gatherings are not only concerts but also spaces for learning, cooperation, and growth. They allow bands to exchange experiences, strengthen their bonds, and transmit the rich musical culture of the municipalities to new generations. This constant work is a clear example of how culture strengthens the community and builds bridges between towns.
The Band Gatherings are considered more than just a showcase for musicians; they represent an opportunity to fill municipalities with culture and offer residents and visitors a top-level cultural experience. The music of the bands invites people to discover the essence of their towns, accompanying, identifying, and uniting citizens from the smallest municipality to the largest city.
The commitment of the Diputación de Castellón is to continue supporting the promotion of music bands, recognizing the province as a land of musicians and music. Thanks have been extended to the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community for their impeccable organization, which makes the success of these gatherings possible year after year, and to all participating bands for their talent, dedication, passion, and social cohesion.
Furthermore, the Unión Musical de Sot de Ferrer has been congratulated on its 130th anniversary, being presented as an example of how music can be a driving force for social cohesion, culture, and joy for the entire region. The next regional gatherings are scheduled for June 13 in Cabanes (la Plana Alta), September 12 in Figueroles (l'Alcalatén – Alt Millars), September 26 in La Jana (el Baix Maestrat), and October 4 in Catí (els Ports – l'Alt Maestrat), which will conclude this edition.
