The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has awarded, for 14.2 million euros, the rehabilitation works of the road surface on the A-23 highway, specifically the section from the Segorbe-Altura interchange to the viaduct over the Palancia River in the province of Castellón.

The awarding of these works, which has been published on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, aims to significantly improve the quality of the road infrastructure. The work will involve raising the existing road surface with new bituminous mixtures to enhance asphalt regularity and extend its useful life.
This intervention will entail raising the current road grade, which will require adapting all its elements to the new elevation. Additionally, in sections that require it, milling, subgrade sanitation, and deep drainage improvement will be carried out through the excavation of trenches.
The action is part of the conservation and maintenance program for the State Road Network. Since June 2018, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has invested over 115.4 million euros in the province of Castellón to ensure the safety and efficiency of its roads.
