The town of Gaibiel, in Alto Palancia, will execute the third phase of works to modernize its drinking water supply network and repave streets, with an investment of 186,000 euros.

This project, funded by the Impulsa Plan of the Diputación de Castellón, seeks to adapt an infrastructure that has already exceeded half a century of life. The initiative is key to guaranteeing optimal services for residents and attracting new inhabitants, as explained by the municipal management.
The drinking water supply network, 56 years old, suffered continuous breakages and leaks, which generated serious problems. The municipal management planned this investment, which has had the economic support of various institutions.
The first phase was executed with 185,000 euros from the Conviure Plan of the Generalitat Valenciana. The second phase began thanks to an agreement of 195,000 euros with the Diputación de Castellón. Now, the third phase, with 186,000 euros from the Impulsa Plan, also from the Diputación de Castellón, will allow further progress in this much-needed work.

"The objective is to renew the entire network and provide our residents with the service they deserve. And although the works are a bit inconvenient, in the end the results are beneficial for the entire town. And that is what is important, to continue investing in Gaibiel because we have the whole future ahead of us."

In addition to the renovation of the water network, the town has also been improving squares and streets. Already in 2020 and 2021, actions were carried out in the Plaza Mayor and Plaza Constitución, with budgets exceeding 70,000 euros, and Castellón Street was conditioned with nearly 20,000 euros.
The municipal management has emphasized the importance of continuing to improve and guarantee basic services for the development of the interior, as these resources are decisive in choosing between growth or depopulation.
