This project will enable the renovation of the town's main avenue, a crucial space in the daily lives of its inhabitants. Mayor José Arenes emphasized the significance of this action, calling it a "key solution" for local development and likening its arrival to "winning the lottery".
“"This avenue is much more than a thoroughfare; it is a regular meeting point, especially during the summer months, where neighbors and families share time outdoors."
The intervention will focus on reinforcing road safety, particularly for pedestrians, and improving accessibility for the elderly and residents with reduced mobility. Additionally, the thoroughfare will be equipped with new urban furniture, aiming to enhance its use as a space for gathering and community.
According to the mayor, this avenue serves as a regular meeting point, especially during the summer, where neighbors and families spend time outdoors. Therefore, improving this environment will directly contribute to collective well-being and the social revitalization of the municipality.
The works, which will affect Colón and Mayor streets, are scheduled to begin next May and last for approximately three months. Although some inconveniences are anticipated during execution, the City Council is confident that the final result will represent a significant step forward for the future of El Toro, enhancing its appeal and helping to curb depopulation.
