The town of Fanzara became the meeting point for UNED Senior students from across the province on April 15. The day saw participation from students from seven municipalities, focusing on urban art, culture, and coexistence.
This activity brought together participants from Burriana, Benicarló, Vila-real, Almassora, Benicàssim, Castellón de la Plana, and Nules. They walked through the town's streets to explore the Unfinished Museum of Urban Art (MIAU), an international benchmark that transforms the environment into an open-air gallery.
Accompanied by a specialized guide, attendees were able to delve into the artistic and social value of the interventions, as well as the impact of urban art on local identity. The day also served as a space for exchanging experiences and strengthening bonds among senior students.
“"These types of activities in small towns are key to making their patrimonial and social richness visible, in addition to fostering cohesion among students. These initiatives contribute to revitalizing territories fundamental to the cultural identity of the province."
The initiative reinforces the role of UNED Senior as a tool for active participation and cultural revitalization, while highlighting the heritage of inland municipalities. The visit thus consolidates as an example of commitment to lifelong learning, accessible culture, and the creation of a participatory and connected community.
