Accident on N-340 and Roadworks Affect Traffic in Castellón

Several points of the road network in the province of Castellón are experiencing significant incidents today, including an accident and various roadworks complicating circulation.

The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has reported several incidents on the road network of Castellón province, including an accident on the N-340 in Almassora and roadworks on other key routes.

According to data updated at 10:00 AM, an accident on the N-340 near Almassora (kilometer 970) has led to the closure of traffic in both directions due to a head-on collision. A mandatory diversion has been established towards the N-340a to manage traffic flow.
Additionally, the DGT reports several roadworks affecting traffic fluidity on other important roads. On the N-340, between kilometers 954 and 955 in Nules, there is a temporary width limit of two meters due to roadworks in the increasing direction.
The AP-7 also has restrictions due to roadworks between kilometers 410 and 412 in Oropesa del Mar, where the right lane is closed in the decreasing direction. On the CV-10, near Sant Mateu (kilometer 81), both the right and left shoulders are closed for works in the increasing direction.
Finally, the CV-15 and CV-12 roads are also impacted by roadworks. On the CV-15, between Villafranca del Cid and Ares del Maestrat (kilometers 59-62), there is a single lane with two-way traffic in the decreasing direction. The CV-12, in Ares del Maestrat (kilometers 0-4), has a single lane with two-way traffic in both directions. The CV-188 in l'Alcora, kilometer 2, has the right shoulder closed due to roadworks in the increasing direction.
