The L'Alcora City Council has initiated improvement works on La Bassa street, an action that is part of the municipal plan l'Alcora Creix to transform the municipality with useful and planned interventions.

The works focus on repairing the south sidewalk of the street, which currently shows significant deterioration and deficiencies that hinder passage, especially for the elderly, people with reduced mobility, or those with baby strollers. The main objective is to adapt this route to current accessibility regulations, ensuring a safer, continuous, and more accessible path for all pedestrians.
Specifically, the works include the demolition of the existing pavement, the execution of a new base, and the installation of new adapted pavement and curbing. Storm drains will also be relocated to improve drainage in the area. All these actions will allow for a complete renovation of this section and its adaptation to the conditions required for a modern and functional public space.
Furthermore, the intervention will address problems detected in the area, such as the deterioration caused by tree roots, which have affected the condition of the sidewalk and its functionality over time. The estimated execution period for these works is one month, with an investment close to 30,000 euros.

"This is the best example that the plan is not just a forecast, but a reality that is already underway, with actions that respond to real daily needs."

The City Council emphasizes that this action is not an isolated event but is part of the deployment of the l'Alcora Creix plan, which is already materializing with concrete interventions. With this first action, the council reinforces its commitment to a working method based on proximity, planning, and execution, combining larger-scale projects with specific improvements that directly impact the quality of life of citizens.
