These works focus on repairing the south sidewalk of the street, which currently shows significant deterioration and deficiencies that hinder passage, especially for elderly people, those with reduced mobility, or with baby strollers. The main objective is to adapt this route to current accessibility regulations, ensuring a safer, continuous, and accessible path for all pedestrians.
The works include the demolition of the existing pavement, the construction of a new base, and the installation of new adapted pavement and curbing. Additionally, storm drains will be relocated to optimize drainage in the area. All these actions will allow for a complete renovation of this section and its adaptation to the conditions required for a modern and functional public space.
The intervention will also address problems detected in the area, such as deterioration caused by tree roots, which have affected the condition of the sidewalk and its functionality. The estimated execution period for these works is one month, with an investment close to 30,000 euros, which will significantly improve the daily use of this road by residents.
“"This is the best example that the plan is not just a forecast, but a reality that is already underway, with actions that respond to real daily needs."
The City Council emphasizes that this action is not an isolated event but part of the deployment of the 'l'Alcora Creix' plan, which is already beginning to materialize with concrete interventions. With this first action, the council reinforces its commitment to a working method based on proximity, planning, and execution, combining larger-scale projects with specific improvements that directly impact the quality of life of citizens.
