L'Alcora to Host Spanish Ceramic Cities Association Conference in 2027

The designation strengthens the municipality's position as a national ceramic hub, coinciding with the tricentennial of the Royal Factory.

The town of L'Alcora will host the Spanish Association of Ceramic Cities (AeCC) Conference in 2027, a recognition that consolidates its role as a national benchmark in the ceramic sector, coinciding with the tricentennial of the Royal Factory of the Count of Aranda.

This past weekend, the city of Úbeda, declared a World Heritage Site, hosted the AeCC Conference, an event that brought together representatives from the main ceramic municipalities in Spain. During the conference, various activities focused on highlighting ceramic craftsmanship were carried out, including visits to local workshops to learn about the work of Úbeda's master artisans.
Additionally, technical sessions of the National Network of Ceramic Schools were held, a key space for reflection and exchange among specialized training centers. The program concluded with the AeCC General Assembly, where strategic decisions were made for the 27 member municipalities, consolidating the entity as an essential network for the defense, promotion, and innovation of the ceramic sector at a national level.
L'Alcora's representation was led by the Councilor for Heritage and Tourism, Carlos Esteban, and the director of the Superior School of Ceramics of L'Alcora (ESCAL), Isaac Nebot. Both participated in the scheduled activities and highlighted the municipality's role as a historical and industrial reference, emphasizing both its artisanal tradition and its training and innovative potential. Special emphasis was placed on ESCAL as a unique university study center in Europe, capable of connecting training with the reality of the sector.
The delegation from L'Alcora also took the opportunity to recall a key date in the municipality's cultural calendar: the third centenary of the Royal Factory of the Count of Aranda, which will be celebrated in 2027, an event of great historical and patrimonial relevance.
As a result of this participation and the institutional work carried out, L'Alcora has been chosen to host the next AeCC Conference in 2027. This designation represents an important recognition for the municipality and strengthens its position as a national ceramic hub, especially in a year as symbolic as the tricentennial of the Royal Factory. With this milestone, L'Alcora prepares to host a gathering that will bring together experts, institutions, and professionals from the sector, consolidating its leadership in the preservation, dissemination, and projection of ceramic culture.
