The L'Alcora City Council has been honored with the Good Governance Award from the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP) for the rehabilitation of the La Muy Noble building, which has been converted into the new Municipal Public Library.
This recognition highlights the transformation of an emblematic space in the municipality, making it available to citizens. The award ceremony for the FVMP Good Governance Awards 2024 and 2025 took place in the auditorium of the IVAM in Valencia, as part of the Valencian Municipalism Gala.
The gala emphasized the importance of city councils in improving citizens' lives and brought together representatives from various municipalities across the Valencian Community. A total of 19 municipalities and one commonwealth were recognized for their good practices in public management.
The award distinguished the recovery of a historic building from L'Alcora's industrial heritage, constructed in 1910 and linked to ceramic activity. Now, this space has been transformed into a modern, accessible cultural center equipped to meet current needs for reading, study, and social revitalization.
The municipal leadership emphasized the commitment to heritage recovery as a tool for transformation, stating that investing in culture is investing in opportunities, cohesion, and quality of life for the population.
