The province of Alicante and southern Valencia are preparing for a change in weather, with a generalized drop in temperatures and the likelihood of showers accompanied by storms, especially in coastal and inland areas.

This Wednesday, May 6, the Valencian Community has presented intervals of high clouds and diurnal evolution cloudiness in inland areas. Temperatures have experienced a decrease, and the wind has blown lightly, predominantly from the east and with moderate character during central hours of the day. The capital, Alicante, recorded a maximum of 24.1 degrees and a minimum of 14.9 degrees in the last 24 hours.
The previous Tuesday, several observatories in the province registered temperatures above 25 degrees. Elche reached 27.4 degrees, while Orihuela marked 27.3 degrees. Also notable were Novelda and Rojales, with 26.1 degrees, Alicante airport, with 25.7 degrees, and the city of Alicante, with 24.1 degrees.
For this Thursday, showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in the morning along the coast and pre-coastal areas of southern Valencia and northern Alicante. In the afternoon, showers could affect the interior of the Valencian Community, occasionally with thunderstorms. Minimum temperatures show slight changes, and maximums decrease inland, with a milder drop along the coast.
Regarding the maritime forecast for the coastal waters of Alicante, the wind blows from the south component with force 3 to 5, shifting to northeast. There will be choppy or rough seas, with a southerly swell of 1 meter decreasing, and some downpours may occur.
