The strike called this Thursday at TRAM of Alicante and Metrovalencia has left 75% of the planned trains in circulation, coinciding with the minimum services set by the company.

The Spanish Railway Drivers' Union (SEMAF) has stated that the strike participation was 100% of the workforce. The union argues that the established minimum services are excessive and considers them an «injustice», understanding that they are closer to maximum services than minimums.

For now, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has not provided an official balance on the extent of participation in this call. The stoppages affect both the Metrovalencia and TRAM of Alicante services and are scheduled for April 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30.
The time slots set for the strike are from 07:00 to 10:00 hours, from 13:00 to 16:00 hours, and from 19:00 to 21:00 hours. These protests extend those already held in March. According to SEMAF, the drivers' discontent is due to the lack of progress in operational safety and the blocking of professional improvements within the negotiation of the XIV Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The union recalls that it has submitted a total of 30 demands to FGV in two conflict resolution commissions. Of these, ten are related to technical operational safety and twenty to the collective bargaining agreement. Key demands include professional recognition for drivers, organizational justice, retention of personnel in critical safety roles, implementation of a fair culture, and regulation of temporary employment pools.
