During the four-day fair, the Alicante delegation presented to the main companies in the sector the combination of competitive port infrastructure and a top-level tourist offering that characterizes Alicante. Key elements highlighted included the climate, connectivity, heritage, gastronomy, coastline, inland areas, and year-round experiences.
This destination-focused approach has opened new opportunities to incorporate two new homeports, a significant advance in the Port of Alicante's strategy to attract premium and higher value-added cruises.
The Port Authority emphasizes that the interest shown by cruise lines confirms the positive evolution of the destination and the growing recognition of Alicante as a gateway to a diverse and quality province. This province is capable of offering differentiated proposals for both transit passengers and embarkation/disembarkation operations.
Furthermore, the institution underscores the importance of institutional coordination and public-private collaboration that have accompanied this commercial mission. These elements are crucial for strengthening the international positioning of the port and the destination.
With these prospects, the Port of Alicante faces the coming years with a horizon of sustained growth. The objective is to attract new operations, consolidate its role in the Mediterranean, and continue generating economic and tourist impact throughout the province.
