The company, which has dedicated this initial year to raising awareness about a technology still sparsely implemented in the Valencian Community, has confirmed the viability of its approach. The process has been gradual and has required significant outreach efforts to demonstrate the benefits of ozone.
“"It has been a year of much learning in a world we did not know, and in which we have been advancing little by little."
Ozohal holds an exclusive distribution agreement with the engineering firm ZonoSistem in the Valencian Community. This alliance provides a solid technical and development base for tackling projects in various fields, leveraging the experience of a company with over 20 years of trajectory and international presence in more than 25 countries.
Ozone technology allows for a significant change in how water is treated, especially in areas like Alicante and Murcia, where water usage is substantial. Ozone reduces or eliminates the need for chemical products, offering a more sustainable and residue-free solution.
“"Ozone leaves no residue, and in some processes, it completely replaces chemicals, while in others, it reduces their use."
Ozone applications are concentrated in three main areas: the food industry, where chemicals are eliminated in cleaning and disinfection; agriculture and livestock, where it reduces reliance on phytosanitary products and improves crop health; and public water treatment, both potable and wastewater, enhancing quality and facilitating reuse.
Despite the benefits, the implementation of the technology is uneven. While the private sector shows greater willingness to explore new solutions, progress in the public sector is slower, often due to a lack of awareness or the complexity of administrative and technical processes. The company emphasizes that it's not just about installing equipment, but about adapting work protocols and water management.
During this first year, Ozohal has focused on the agri-food industry, leveraging its team's experience and the sector's importance in Alicante and Murcia. The implementation process includes technology presentation, testing, and technical analysis before definitive adoption. The company is also exploring water treatment in tourist facilities and irrigation communities.
For the coming months, Ozohal plans to consolidate its presence in Alicante and Murcia and expand nationally, seeking to broaden implementation in the food industry and develop projects in other water-related sectors. They believe that adoption by larger companies can create a ripple effect throughout the rest of the sector.
