The fair, which took place from Wednesday to Sunday, featured the participation of 200 authors and was the setting for 26 official book presentations, attracting a large number of readers and literature enthusiasts.
“"The Book Fair has fulfilled its objective of celebrating literature in an enjoyable way and with top-level authors. The public has responded, and our commitment is to continue improving in future editions."
The public filled the presentations of works by prominent authors inside Espacio Séneca, such as those by Lorenzo Silva, Marta Robles, Luz Gabás, Manuel Vilas, or Helena Resano, among others, and supported local authors.
This edition saw the participation of 28 stands, two more than the previous one, for whose assembly the aid from the Department of Culture was maintained. These included bookstores, publishers, and institutions, with the ONCE Foundation joining this year. In general, according to participants, sales improved compared to last year, despite storms on Thursday afternoon and Saturday morning preventing the surpassing of previous edition's results.
Regarding the children's audience, 540 attendees were registered, with 453 participating in storytelling and workshops, while 87 corresponded to school visits. This latter figure was affected by the cancellation of some schools due to adverse weather conditions, as explained by the contracting company.
