The project, named Planta Almacenamiento Campello, is promoted by the company Solar BS 018 S.L., part of the Madrid-based group Solar Bull. It involves the installation of batteries on a plot in industrial estate 9 of Mutxamel, along with all the necessary infrastructure to evacuate energy to the Cantalar substation, via underground lines that will also cross land in Sant Joan d'Alacant.
This initiative will have a budget of 1.95 million euros and will occupy a fenced area of 0.13 hectares. According to the announcement published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP), the system will consist of batteries with a storage capacity of 20,060 kW and four 1,500 kW inverters, limited to adjust to the authorized access and consumption capacity, set at 4,950 kW.
The primary purpose of this installation will be to store electrical energy using batteries and subsequently evacuate it to the electricity distribution network. The infrastructure will include transformation, protection, and disconnection centers, in addition to an underground line to the Cantalar electrical substation.
The file also includes an environmental impact study, a landscape integration study, and a forest fire prevention plan. Furthermore, separate reports have been sent to various organizations, including the city councils of Mutxamel and Sant Joan, the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation, and i-DE Redes Eléctricas Inteligentes.
The evacuation line will affect both public and private land, including municipal plots in Mutxamel and Sant Joan d'Alacant, as well as agricultural land and industrial areas. The project also foresees the temporary occupation of the livestock trail Colada de Cantalar. The documentation will remain open for public inspection for the submission of allegations by affected individuals or entities within the period enabled by the autonomous administration.
