The TRAM d’Alacant public transport network, comprising four tram lines, one train-TRAM line, and one conventional train line, registered a total of 1,654,238 users last May. This figure is comparable to May 2025, when over 1.6 million passengers were also recorded.
Friday, May 29th, was the busiest day, with 61,696 movements recorded across all operational lines. In total, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) recorded 10,659,947 movements between Metrovalencia and TRAM d’Alacant in May, representing a 7.06% increase compared to the same period last year.
By line, Line 2, connecting Luceros and San Vicent del Raspeig, was the most used with 602,240 movements. It was followed by Line 1 (Luceros - Benidorm) with 357,225; Line 3 (Luceros - El Campello) with 246,381; Line 4 (Luceros - Plaza La Coruña) with 186,811; Line 9 (Benidorm - Dénia) with 164,453; and Line 5 (Porta del Mar - Plaza La Coruña) with 97,128 journeys.
The lines showing the most significant growth compared to May of the previous year are Line 9, with a 44.92% increase in users; Line 5, with an 11.35% increase; and Line 1, which saw a 6.26% rise in passengers.
In terms of stations, Luceros was the busiest with 261,834 passengers, followed by Mercado with 160,720. Benidorm registered 98,307 users, Sant Vicent del Raspeig 97,640, and Marq-Castillo 82,165.
