The operation began with a surveillance effort carried out by agents from the narcotics group of the North District Police Station. Officers were working to prevent the sale of illicit substances in this area of the city when they observed a suspicious maneuver.
During the operation, police detected a vehicle driven by a woman stopping next to a man on the street. After observing what appeared to be a drug transaction, officers intervened and confirmed that the woman had handed over a small bag containing marijuana and hashish, leading to her arrest for an alleged crime against public health.
Citizen information can be key to detecting suspicious movements and initiating investigations in specific areas.
Subsequently, a search was conducted at the detainee's home, where the National Police located various narcotic substances prepared for distribution. Among the items seized were 13 grams of cocaine, 150 grams of marijuana, 70 grams of speed, and three grams of tusi.
In addition to the drugs, officers found 685 euros in cash and a precision scale, an instrument commonly associated with weighing substances in investigations of this type. This intervention has allowed the National Police to declare a drug dealing point operating in northern Alicante eradicated.
The detainee was transferred to police facilities for the corresponding proceedings and was later placed at the disposal of the duty investigating courts in Alicante, which will continue with the judicial process. The National Police has emphasized the importance of citizen collaboration in detecting and eradicating drug dealing points, reminding that any information can be communicated via telephone 091, their official website, or the email address antidroga@policia.es.
