The city of Alicante was the scene of a significant citizen concentration last Friday, April 12, 2026. The main objective of the event was to give visibility and support to the recently implemented Animal Welfare Law, as well as to initiatives related to the management and protection of urban cat colonies.

The mobilization brought together numerous animal rights advocates, who wanted to emphasize the importance of this legislation to ensure greater protection and dignified living conditions for all animals, especially those living in urban environments.
