The province of Alicante faces a complex traffic day with 49 active incidents on 18 roads, including closures and lane restrictions, according to the latest DGT update at 09:04 AM on Friday, April 10.

The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has issued a warning regarding the traffic situation in the province of Alicante, which is particularly complicated this Friday, April 10. A total of 49 active incidents have been recorded, affecting 18 different roads, representing a notable increase compared to previous days.
This increase is mainly due to the concentration of roadworks at strategic points, the presence of multiple obstacles on the road, and, to a lesser extent, some accidents. These circumstances are causing congestion and difficulties on both major arteries and secondary roads in the province.
Among the most notable incidents due to roadworks is a total closure on the AP-7 near Agost, one of the most sensitive sections of this highway. There is also a closed exit on the A-7 in El Realengo and the right lane closed on the N-340 in Torrellano until 1:00 PM. Additionally, lane closures for maintenance have been reported on the AP-7 between Almoradí and Orihuela Costa, and restrictions in both directions on the A-77a between San Vicente del Raspeig and Fontcalent. Roadworks also affect the CV-70 and CV-868 with alternating traffic or complete closures.
Most incidents correspond to obstacles on the road, which, despite being of low severity, their accumulation can significantly slow down traffic. These obstacles have been detected on roads such as the A-31 (in Sax, Monóvar, Petrer, and Monforte del Cid), the AP-7 (in Catral, Mutxamel, and Verdegàs), the N-332 (in Calp, Torrevieja, and Santa Pola), the A-7 (in Elche and its surroundings), and the CV-70 (in Benidorm and La Nucia).
Furthermore, an accident has been reported on the EL-20, near Atsavares, at kilometer 5.5, where an obstacle on the road hinders passage. Given this situation, the DGT recommends that drivers plan their journeys in advance, check road conditions, and exercise extreme caution, especially in construction zones or areas with marked obstacles.
