The Ángeles - Felipe Bergé commission has won the first prize in the Special category of the children's Hogueras festival in Alicante 2026. Artist Ausiàs Estrugo is the creator of the monument titled "Mediterrànea".

The commission, founded in 1962, thus achieves victory after securing third place last year. The winning monument highlights its Mediterranean theme.
Mercado Central took second place with a monument by artist Mario Pérez. Third place went to Foguerer Carolinas, with a work by Miriam García, climbing to the podium from seventh place last year.
In contrast, the 2025 winning hoguera, Florida Portazgo, finished in second-to-last place (eighth), while Sagrada Familia, which was second last year, obtained sixth place. The ninot by Ceballos & Sanabria for Sagrada Familia was reprieved this year.
The ranking for the Special category hogueras was as follows: Ángeles - Felipe Bergé, Mercado Central, Foguerer Carolinas, Baver - Els Antigons, La Ceràmica, Sagrada Familia, Diputació - Renfe, Florida Portazgo, and La Condomina.
