To facilitate mobility during the main days of the festival, trams and train-trams will run throughout the night. Services will be increased, and night operations extended on Lines 1, 2, 3, and 4. This special operation will connect with the night service planned for the Focs del Cocó.
Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has scheduled a total of 2,924 services, of which 2,119 will be ordinary and 805 special. This offering provides 841,260 seats during the five main days of Hogueras, a 37% increase compared to the rest of the year. An estimated half a million passengers are expected.
The operation aims to accommodate the increased travel, especially during peak festival days and at night, facilitating movement between Alicante and the municipalities connected by the tram network. However, services may be affected by a planned strike, which would require minimum services of 80%.
To ensure the service, FGV has reinforced its staff with new drivers, station agents, and conductors, in addition to increasing cleaning and security personnel. Security services will be expanded from 50 to 155 during the busiest days.
The Luceros stop will be temporarily closed during the mascletàs, from June 18 to 24, approximately between 1:30 PM and 2:20 PM, for safety reasons. The Mercado station will operate as an alternative. Furthermore, the transport of scooters and bicycles will not be permitted in Zone A (between Alicante and El Campello) from June 18 to 25. Night services will not stop at the Sangueta halt.
