The province of Alicante has been the main focus of emergency drills organized by the Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Participation during the first months of 2026, with a total of eleven operations.

These activities are part of the annual training and prevention plan in judicial headquarters, an initiative by the Generalitat Valenciana to strengthen building security and improve response capacity in the face of any incident.
The drills in Alicante have been carried out in six premises and in the Benalúa building in the capital, as well as in the judicial headquarters of Elda, Novelda, La Vila Joiosa, and Benidorm. This concentration of interventions positions the province as one of those with the most activity in this area during the beginning of the year.
Across the entire Valencian Community, the Ministry has completed 26 drills, representing 43% of the total planned for the year. The main objective is to verify the correct functioning of self-protection plans, evaluate evacuation times, and optimize coordination among technical teams, civil servants, and emergency services.
This plan also seeks to improve internal protocols and ensure safer working environments for both professionals of the Justice Administration and citizens who use these public services. The 2026 program is part of the strategy for modernizing judicial infrastructures and continuously improving working conditions. The Ministry plans to continue with new interventions throughout the year to ensure that all centers have updated protocols and personnel prepared to act quickly and effectively.
