56th Alicante Book Fair Gathers Prominent Authors at Espacio Séneca
The cultural event, taking place from May 6 to 10, will offer over 200 activities and author signings for all audiences.

The 56th Alicante Book Fair will open its doors from May 6 to 10 at Espacio Séneca, under the motto 'A book, a beginning, a story', featuring renowned authors and a wide cultural program.
The Culture councilor and the head of the organizing company have presented the details of this edition, which promises to be a great celebration of literature in the city. The main objective is to foster reading among all segments of the population, with a special focus on young people.
The fair is expected to host over 200 activities during its five-day run, including 153 author signings and 41 additional activities, of which 21 will be dedicated to children and young people. The event will feature 28 stands from entities, institutions, publishers, and bookstores, including the incorporation of the ONCE Foundation.
Among the prominent authors visiting the fair are Lorenzo Silva, Manuel Vilas, Luz Gabás, and Marta Robles, who will participate in various signing sessions and reader encounters. There will also be a presence of Alicante authors such as Catalina González, Jorge Zaragoza, María José Marcos, Susi Rosas, Raúl Barbetly, and Gigi Rote, highlighting local literary quality and diversity.
The program includes presentations of new novels, meetings with screenwriters and filmmakers, and an exhibition dedicated to The Ballad of Hugo Pratt, creator of Corto Maltés. The fair's schedule will be from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, and will extend until 9:30 PM from Friday to Sunday. The Telpark parking on Italia Street will offer the first half-hour free to attendees.
