Socialist deputy Raúl Ruiz has affirmed that PSOE councilors from municipalities that managed their Bono Comercio through Facpyme are willing to appear. However, he warned that this willingness must apply under the same conditions to all other municipal officials involved.
We are in favor of transparency and providing all necessary explanations, but with the same rules for everyone.
In this regard, Ruiz suggested that if the mayor of Alicante appears, so should those of Elda and Elche; if the mayor of El Campello testifies, so should the mayor of Villena; if the mayoress of Santa Pola appears, so should the mayor of l'Alfàs del Pi; and if the mayor of Finestrat testifies, the mayor of Alcoy should also appear.
The Socialist Group maintains that the commission should not be used for partisan purposes or focus solely on some municipalities while excluding others. Ruiz argued that the body's operation must be governed by criteria of equality, objectivity, and institutional rigor.
The deputy emphasized that the PSOE will not allow a biased use of this commission and insisted that their group remains committed to transparency, always within a framework of balance between political parties.
The socialist spokesperson in the Alicante Provincial Council, Vicente Arques, announced the composition of the team that will represent the group in the Bono Comercio investigation commission. The designated deputies are Raúl Ruiz, Raquel Marín, José Ramiro Pastor, and Verónica Giménez. Arques stated that the team will work with responsibility, rigor, and commitment to the truth, with the aim of defending the general interest of the citizens of the province of Alicante.
