The Comunitat Valenciana has seen an increase in the average daily spending of international tourists, reaching 140.1 euros in 2025, almost nine euros more than the previous year, with an average stay of 9.2 days.

These figures, derived from a report by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana based on data from the National Institute of Statistics, indicate a significant growth in the economic contribution of foreign visitors.
The analysis highlights notable differences based on the purpose of the trip. Those visiting the region for work or business spend the most, averaging 188 euros daily, despite shorter stays. Sports tourism, at 176 euros, and cultural tourism, at 150 euros, also demonstrate high spending capacity.
Regarding destinations, Benidorm leads the ranking with an average daily expenditure of 184.8 euros, followed by the city of Valencia, with 163.3 euros. At the provincial level, Alicante records longer stays, at 9.8 days with spending of 138.4 euros, while Castellón stands out for the longest visit duration, at 12.4 days, albeit with lower daily spending.
In total, the Comunitat Valenciana welcomed over 12.4 million international tourists in 2025, approximately half a million more than the previous year. The United Kingdom remains the primary source market, accounting for 24.3% of the total, followed by France with 17%, and other countries such as the Netherlands, Nordic countries, and Germany.
The report also emphasizes that sun and beach tourism remains the main attraction, chosen by over 80% of visitors, although there is growing interest in alternative activities such as sports or cultural events. Most tourists opt for hotel accommodation and primarily arrive by air.
