More than 4,600 officers from various security forces will participate in the special operation for Alicante's Hogueras 2026, designed to ensure the safety of scheduled events.

A total of over 4,600 officers from the National Police, Civil Guard, Local and Regional Police, along with personnel from the Port Authority, Alicante City Council, the Federació de les Fogueres, Civil Protection, Firefighters, and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana, will be part of the special security operation for Alicante's Hogueras 2026. The aim is to guarantee the safety and smooth running of the events planned during the festivities.
The government's sub-delegate in the province, Manuel Pineda, chaired the operational coordination meeting this Wednesday. The plan includes an increased police presence and preventive checks at high-crowd areas such as Plaza de los Luceros, the Explanada, the bullring, El Postiguet, and San Juan beach.
Pineda highlighted the importance of coordination between administrations and security forces for festivals of this scale. The operation also incorporates specific measures for the prevention of gender-based violence, child protection, and surveillance in nightlife areas.
