The works, managed by the Department of Investments and Public Space, have led to a substantial improvement of the venue. Among the most notable actions is the improvement of the foundation, which facilitated the installation of a new firm and safe flooring.
The modules of the new grandstand have been installed on this new base, now allowing a capacity of 637 seats. This figure represents an increase of nearly 200 spectators compared to the previous capacity, offering more space for fans.
The intervention also included the construction of a new changing room pavilion, designed with accessibility criteria to facilitate use for people with reduced mobility. These facilities feature ventilation systems to prevent humidity and condensation, as well as LED lighting that improves energy efficiency and provides more homogeneous illumination.
During the renovation, various repairs were carried out, such as sealing existing cracks in the building's facade, to ensure the pavilion is in optimal condition for the city's sports clubs. The playing court has also been replaced with a more modern and safer surface, designed to prevent injuries.
The new court incorporates details in the colors of the Elda flag and the city's heraldic shield in the center. Likewise, the name of the municipality has been formed in the grandstand using seats of different colors, adding a distinctive touch to the venue. The City Council notes that, in parallel, works are underway to renovate the perimeter wall of the old Pepico Amat stadium, as part of the municipal strategy to restore the entire sports enclave located on Olimpiadas Avenue, where the Blue Court and the Annex Field are also located.
