The Coordinadora d'Estudis Eòlics del Comtat has filed a complaint with Seprona against the construction of a pilot villa in the municipality of Planes, as part of the mega-urbanization project The Modern Eco village (MEV).

The complaint focuses on the alleged construction of a pilot villa without an adequate urban planning license, arguing that the license granted was for a construction site hut and not for a definitive dwelling with the qualities promoted by the Norwegian developers. The Coordinadora requested information from the Town Hall, which responded by indicating that the land is unprogrammed developable land, contrary to previous statements that it was urban land.
Sources from the Coordinadora point out that the granted license is provisional and for a detachable construction site or information hut, not for a pilot villa with high-quality finishes. This is compared to an old information hut from 20 years ago that still stands at a gas station, consisting of a prefabricated container.

"The license granted is provisional and is for a detachable construction site and information hut, but in no case a pilot house with the latest qualities, as the Norwegian developers say on social media indicating how the houses will be definitively."

The Coordinadora, working with the platform 'Salvam Planes-Protegim el Comtat', has filed this complaint as documentary evidence, but anticipates that other infringements exist, such as the indiscriminate felling of pine trees and the lack of justification for the water resources needed for 500 villas in an area prone to drought, with a population of 700 inhabitants.
Recently, a protest march with 120 people was held to try to stop the project, and the Coordinadora demands compliance with the law from the Norwegian developers.
