The Cocentaina City Council has published the rules for the new edition of the Fira de Tots Sants de Cocentaina Narrative Award 2026, a biennial competition promoting literary creation in Valencian for young audiences.

This call, which reaffirms the commitment to literature in our language, is open to all writers who wish to participate with original and unpublished novels. Works must be written in Valencian, be of free theme, not have been awarded in other competitions, and be aimed at readers over 14 years old.
The submission deadline for works is May 15, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Submissions must be made exclusively online through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cocentaina City Council.
The award includes an economic prize of 6,000 euros for the winning work. This will subsequently be published by the Andana publishing house, and its edition will acknowledge the recognition obtained with the subtitle of Fira de Tots Sants de Cocentaina Narrative Award.
Among the participation requirements, the rules emphasize that works must be submitted under a pseudonym and without any element that allows identification of their authorship. Additionally, the submitted documentation must include a signed declaration guaranteeing that the novel is unpublished, has not been awarded, and is an original human creation, developed without the use of artificial intelligence.

"The commitment of the Cocentaina City Council and the department to culture, to literature in Valencian, and to the promotion of contemporary creation linked to the Fira de Tots Sants, one of the most emblematic and unique events in our town."

Marcela Richart · Councillor for Fira
The jury will be composed of representatives from the Cocentaina City Council, the Andana publishing house, and specialists in youth literature, ensuring an evaluation process that will preserve the anonymity of participants at all times. Marcela Richart, Councillor for Fira, highlighted the high quality of the works submitted in the first edition of the competition.
