The Valencia Provincial Council has approved an investment of nearly 12 million euros for the rehabilitation of 30 historical monuments across various municipalities in the province, aiming to recover forgotten heritage.

This heritage rehabilitation plan, reactivated after eight years, seeks to restore emblematic buildings that are part of the Valencian territory's identity. The initiative aims to highlight their cultural, tourist, and economic potential, halting the deterioration of these historical constructions.

"To restore immovable assets that provide identity to the territory and bring us closer to our history. It should never have been abandoned."

In this first call, all possible applications have been addressed, and a future expansion of five million euros has been announced to cover more projects. Subsidies can reach up to one million euros for Cultural Interest Assets and 500,000 euros for Local Relevance Assets. 75% of the aid will be paid upon awarding the works, and the remainder once the investment is justified.
Among the highlighted projects are the rehabilitation of the Palace of the Bellvís in Benissuera (950,000 euros), the recovery of the walls of Castielfabib Castle (512,000 euros), and the restoration of the Torre del Virrey in L'Eliana (623,000 euros). Interventions will also take place at the Royal Monastery of Santa Clara in Xàtiva and the Palace of the Lordship in Alfara del Patriarca, with a contribution of one million euros for each.
Regions such as Vall d'Albaida will receive 2.2 million euros, while Camp de Túria and L'Horta will each receive 1.4 million. Other beneficiary regions include La Costera, La Safor, and Ribera Alta, all with investments exceeding one million euros for the restoration of their historical heritage.

"We have not come to manage the nostalgia of what we were, but to build the pride of what we are."
